People would think that it’s an easy and simple thing to choose a coat-string for a hanbok.
However, it’s the most important element that how does a hanbook look like. Just like an accessory that you wear when you want to make your look more stylish.
We carefully chose the fabric of this hanbok jeogori to make it not too simple, but also not too colorful. So we decided to go with this a dark red bean-like red fabric.
That’s why it was hard to design the coat-string part and choose a proper red color that matches with the soft red bean color of the jeogori naturally.
Some people think it’s something useless, but when all the little details get together, it makes an amazing artwork!
이 상품은 상의 1장만 단품으로 나가는 상품입니다.
상당히 간단한 일 같아 보이지만, 이 저고리는 고름끈을 결정하는게 상당히 힘들었다.
한복에서 고름은 상당히 중요한 포인트이며 악세사리 역할을 한다.
때로는 톡톡 튀는 보색을 써서 디자인의 화려함을 부각시키키도 하고
어떤때는 물 흐르듯 통일감을 주는 색을 써서 디자인의 안정감을 주기도 한다.
이번 디자인은
자가드 원단의 흐름을 깨지 않으면서도 고급스러워야 하며
너무 채도가 낮지 않은 포인트 컬러로 전체적인 디자인이 살아나야줘야한다는게 핵심이기 때문에
수 많은 레드컬러 중에서도
너무 튀어도 안되고 전통 팥색처럼 가라앉지 않은 레드를 찾아다녔다.
몇 주간 150여가지의 원단을 수거한 후,
고름의 두께감과 색감을 셀렉하는 과정을 거쳤는데
하의 치마색에 구애받지 않고 매치하기 가장좋은
은은한 광택감과 포인트가 될 수 있는 컬러감을 느낄 수 있는 색을 찾았다.
특히, 톤의 흐름을 깨지 않는 레드계열 색을 선택하는게 가장 중요 포인트다.
만약 고름으로 적합한 레드색을 찾지 못햇다면
이 디자인은 연구실 외부의 세상 밖으로 나오지 못했을 것이다.
사막에서 오아시스를 발견한 느낌으로 고름끈색을 선택했기 때문에
디자인 품명을 사하라 라고 지었다.ㅎㅎ
저 작은 부분인 고름 빨강색 하나 가지고 부질없다 느낄지 모르겠으나,
디자이너에게는 디테일 모든것의 하나하나가 쌓여 하나의 제대로 된 완성품이 탄생하는 일이므로
모든 것에 섬세하게 신경써서 디테일을 잡는다.
